2017 Major Florida Events

Florida is well-known for its gorgeous beaches and popular theme parks, but it is also infamous for an endless array of extraordinary events. There are boat parades, spectacular fireworks, wine and craft beer festivals, tree lighting ceremonies and so much more!

Throughout the year, there are a boatload of terrific events, including the Miami Boat Show with over 1,300 boats and 1,100 exhibitors from all over the world!

Daytona Beach is home to Daytona International Speedway, where the most prestigious race in NASCAR, the Daytona 500, is held. It also hosts the Turkey Run in November, the largest car show and swap meet in the country!

April promises sky high entertainment in Lakeland with the Sun ‘n Fun International Fly-In and Expo – the largest fundraiser for the Aerospace Center for Excellent with over 200,000 expected guests, exhibitors, sponsors and performers!

Florida festivals are also fun-filled and plentiful. Tampa Bay’s Celtic Festival and Highland Games in February promises festive Irish and Scottish dancers, soulful pipes and ballads, stone putt and caber toss competitions, and plenty of nice cold beer! Also in February, Naples holds an unequalled Art Festival with hundreds of vendors and beautiful art on display. Tampa’s March Gasparilla Music Fest is an eclectic, grassroots venue with something for everyone – folk, blues, pop, rock and more. New Smyrna Beach Kite Festival is a colorful summer beach event with demonstrations, lessons and hundreds of free kites. And don’t forget the November Florida Seafood Festival in Apalachicola drawing tens of thousands of for crab racing, oyster shucking and tons of tasty treats.
